Never trained a day in your life? That's 99% of everyone who walks through the door and you've come to the right place! We have beginner classes all the way up to our comp team - the right classes for every level.
Adult Grappling - Start with Combat Core if you're beginner or not sure. CAP classes move faster and already assume expertise with beginner skills and movements.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, gi and no-gi — one hour at a time. This is where almost every adult grappler at Rumble starts, including the ones who show up nervous, unfit, and sure they'll be the worst person on the mat. They aren't.
The track beyond Combat Core, for grapplers who've decided this is what they do — gi and no-gi, a harder pace, live rolling built into the week, and the skills to beat other trained grapplers, not just outlast beginners — and to go deeper down the rabbit hole.
One coach, your goals — a competition camp, a plateau, a nervous first-timer, or a kid who does better without an audience (private lessons are often used for kids too). Ask us and we'll build it around you.
That worry is the single biggest thing keeping adults off the mats — and it's the thing we hear about least, because most people never say it out loud. So we'll say it for you: you will not be the worst person in the room, because there is no such thing here.
01Nobody expects you to know anything
Combat Core is a beginner's room by design. Coaches give the extra attention to whoever is on their first day.
02No battles to the death
We do a warm up with functional movements relevant to Grappling, then learn and drill at your own pace.
03Technique beats size and strength
Grappling is leverage, not muscle. Coaches teach to the newest person on the mats, and the whole team puts the team first — which makes it a welcoming, helpful and genuinely fun room to be part of.

Questions
Do I need experience?
No. Most students in Combat Core have never rolled before. Coaches teach to the newest person on the mat, every class.
Do I need a gi?
Not for a trial. Athletic clothes and no shoes on the mat. There are grappling specific gear you can purchase later if you want but it's not necessary - Gi, Rash Guard, MMA shorts, etc.
Am I going to get hurt?
Grappling here is controlled — technique and drilling first. We emphasize a team and learning enviroment because as a team we all get better. The focus is learning the skills, helping eachother get better, getting a good workout and having fun.
What's the difference between Combat Core and CAP?
Combat Core is beginner-friendly, one hour, technique first. CAP is the advanced track — 90 minutes, live rolling built in. Everyone starts in Combat Core; you move to CAP when you're ready.
